We had our finally presentation today and was quite disappointed with our performance today, there was some problem with our slides but that was a small problem though since Miss Dora actually pointed out that our team was lacking in time management. This actually cause as to pay a huge price in not being able to execute most of our idea that we have thought of which was sad as Miss Dora told us that all our ideas were very creative and not being able to pull it off due to poor time management. Another point Miss Dora pointed out was poor communication as we thought we were able to do it ourselves independently which was not true which cause as not to be able to execute a offline event that we had which was the couple race and if we had communicated to Miss Dora we might have actually pull it off.
Today was a valuable lesson as our team learn of our weakness and we still have future projects and having this weaknesses pointed out early will be useful for our learning.

“Yang Ping-Practical 05 Record of my contributions to the SMM Project- Entry 3
For DMB, Joash created a Facebook album for us to put in our cover photo and poster designs which we've created to allow fans to vote for their favourite designs. However, I did not submit my entery as I did not feel confident of my designs. But, here are my contributions for the assignment.
2 for Valentine's day and one for the upcoming CNY. My previous poster designs are as follows.
It was not as nice as compared to my group mates art works. But I did try my best to create a suitable artwork for Between.
There was also the Final video for Between which i helped with the making of the props and with the filming.

Practical 3 of this module, we were required to split into two groups, one doing overseas and one group doing local. I split the groups whereby Yenn and Yak Siong was in charge of the overseas competitor and Khim, Amanda and myself were in charge of the local company. I told them to research on a local competitor " Lovebyte". We could only do one company as I only managed to find one and it was a famous local start up.
I split us the different social media marketing platforms they used to each of us. Khim was to do the Facebook segment, Amanda focused on their twitter while I did the Analysis on their Instagram as well as Pinterest.

Practical 4, We created "behance" account as well as an " Linkin" Account to allow ourselves to create an online resume where we can put our art works for people to see and give comments. Though it's rather scary, I thought it was quite cool to have such beneficial tools for us at this age.
Own Ideas
For our own ideas on helping the company, though I did not come up with the ideas, I felt like i contributed a considerable amount to the team as well. Firstly, I helped arrange all meetings between the group and our client, Joash. During these meetings, I am not confident in voicing out my questions and opinions. Therefore, I told my group mates who were more vocal to take note and mention the key points which I have pointed out that we needed in the practicals such as the company's background information, value propitiation and so on. They did come up with their own questions and doubts to clarify as well.
Yenn came up with the idea of the content creation posts and I was in charge of searching for places for couples to go. After all of us had compiled our research in a excel file, we sent it to Joash to check. Joash replied us with feedback on how we could improve on our various captions and photos.
Some of my team mates did not see his comments on how to improve and thus i helped them make the edits to their captions and link before sending it to Joash again for approval. Besides that, I came up with the editorial calendar and searched for photos on " Between"'s Facebook Page for a suitable photo for every post and came up with a Post mock - up for Joash to have a clearer understanding of how the posts would look like .
After reviewing the editorial calendar, I felt like the content post we had was not equal. Therefore I researched more on my own and added in some extra posts. Thankfully Joash approved of all of them and I scheduled all the posts on the Facebook Page to go live every Mon, wed, Fri and Sunday at 12.30 pm sharp.

Record what you have done as a team member since Oct 2014,
sharing information such as the dates you performed your
tasks, what preparation work you have done,
how long you took on the tasks, what problems did you encounter and what you have learnt through your tasks or what you will do
Idealization
From the start, I didn't come up with much ideas for the project. I am not a very creative and idealistic person, therefore i was not able to generate much marketing ideas for the company and left those to my group mates to help.
Starting with practical 1, it gave me an insight of how to use the different social media platforms available. Starting an account on the different media platforms allowed me to connect with my class mates by following them and reading up on their posts online. I also understood more of how each platform worked and how i could use it to my benefits. I get to stalk on my lecturer too as well! how cool was that~ but sadly she doesn't post often.
For the 2nd practical, we had to find and approach our a company of our choice to ask if they were willing to collaborate with us. Though our lecturer has already found a willing company for us, we were still required to approach one. I searched for a company called Pay where, an eCommerce software development web hoping that they would be willing to collaborate with us. But sadly they didn't get back to me on a reply.

Also part of the second practical, we needed to complete our CA1 which was to give and present a more inept introduction to our company, come up with new marketing strategies as well as a market analysis so that we know where to help improve. Below are my part of the slides which i present.
Yang Ping - Practical 5 – Social Media Analytics for my SMM Project
Since between is more focused on using Facebook to increase it's engagement with it's fans, we've decided to use Facebook Insights to help us monitor. Here is an general overview of the current statistics dating from the past 7 days.
Before taking over the Facebook page, Between were posting on their page close to once in a few weeks. However, after Joash has given us the rights to the page, we started posting at 12.30 pm, 3 times a week. The graph below shows the growth of the posts as compared to about a year ago.
The orange, purple and blue bar represents the organic post reach, like, comment and shares and post clicks respectively.

Statistics from a month ago.
A clearer view of the statistics in numbers of each of the dates in the posts.
Another important part of Facebook insights to take note of is the Reach page.
As can be seen from above, this month as compared to the last , have more engagement due to the increase in likes and shares. As from below, it shows the 2 post with the highest amount of likes during the month of Feb.
I hope Between's Facebook page continues to grow with the help of more engaging posts and us helping to share the page with more of our friends

Helping to
promote Between SG Facebook
Part of a strategy,
I went to ask my friends to like
Between SG Facebook. Instead of just inviting people (which I also did), I went
to private message my Facebook friends, and whatsapp all of my friends too. I also asked my friends to tell their peers about this, hoping to get more likes for the page. Below are a few evidences
of my asking my friends to visit and like Between SG Facebook page and also the
results.

Contributions
for the client & Contacting the client
(Yellow are accepted ones, red unaccepted, others not yet approved)
Other than
those, I did researches on one of our strategy which is “Guys Week”. Though
only 2-3 articles are needed from each person, I went to search for more in
case any one got rejected. I also arranged it in the way I find that is the
most suitable on top to make it convenience for Yang Ping to collate and also
for Joash to see.
I had communicated with our client quite a number of time to discuss a few items for our project. But one main conversation I had with him was to confirm on the posting of our DMB artworks and asking him about the editorial calendar as it was quite urgent at that point of time. Below are some FB convo, emails, and whatsapp convo I had (to Joash, Ms Dora and my group mates) to conclude for this portion of the work.
(Facebook chats with Joash)
(Emails to Joash regarding Designs)
(Emails to Joash regarding Editorial Calander)
(Conversation with Ms Dora, regarding posters matters)
